Raymond Voegeli grew up in East Windsor, New Jersey. His mother was a licensed professional counselor. In 1988, Raymond attended Nyack College and studied Literature, Psychology, and Political Science. He participated in an academic extension program in Washington, DC in 1991. It was there he discovered the power of round table discussion groups as a resource for helping the community. When Raymond returned to Nyack College in the fall of 1991, he met Julie Fairchild and they co-founded the Dinner Dialogues. Students and professors would meet for round table discussions on a weekly basis and help one another understand and work through relevant psychological, social, and political issues. The dialogues grew in popularity and had a positive impact on the college community.
Raymond graduated from Nyack College in 1992 with high honors. He received a special community service award for the creation and facilitation of the Dinner Dialogues. Raymond and Julie married in 1994. In the many different communities they found themselves participating in over the years, they have formed round table discussion groups to bring people together to explore and address relevant issues in their life.
Raymond and Julie moved to North Carolina to raise their two daughters. In 2010, after working as a software professional for twenty years, Raymond returned to school (Seton Hall University) to obtain his counseling degrees, clinical training, and state license. He and Julie shared a goal of establishing a counseling practice that not only helped people with mental health concerns, but also served their community by offering groups to help people with life issues.
